Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream is the Perfect Balance Between Camouflage and Skincare

This one goes far beyond basic BB creams.

If you’re passionate about skincare, you’ve probably heard of Purito, especially the brand’s iconic Cica Clearing BB Cream – the perfect balance between camouflage and skincare. It made me a fan from the first time I used it, and I love the comfort of wearing it: an even skin tone, moist skin, a little coverage and shine. It also infuses my acne-prone skin with a myriad of benefits without clogging pores and doesn’t feel heavy but light, having a natural almost-no appearance. Here’s my full review, and all the reasons I’ll be keeping this one around for a long time.

About the formula
Purito’s BB cream focuses on a blend of moisturizers, emollients and brighteners, and while its strongest point is strengthening the protective barrier, this is an ideal BB cream for sensitive skin. The secret lies in a blend of Centella asiatica and some of its compounds (hydroxyeicosapogenic acid, centella asiatica glycosides and centella asiatica), which promote skin repair by inducing collagen production. The formula also contains niacinamide, allantoin, panthenol and adenosine, all of which soothe, hydrate and enhance the complexion.

It’s made with a water base and has a lightweight texture that layers and applies easily, just like a moisturizer, while covering well, like a lightweight concealer foundation. I love that the formula is fragrance, oil and alcohol free, which is a huge benefit for my acne-prone oily skin.

In addition, Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream offers some sun protection as it contains a good amount of UV protectants. However, after the 2020 scandal, the brand no longer states any UV values on the packaging. Therefore, when I use this BB cream, I don’t skip the sunscreen.

Coverage
The coverage of this BB cream is a perfect balance of light and medium, depending on the amount of product I use. In any case, Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream never looks cakey or fine lines, and it camouflages well with a velvety sheen and healthy glow.

Staying Power
On my skin, Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream lasts all day, but it will start to blend into the skin after 6-7 hours and the coverage will fade by the evening. However, I usually fix it with an organic setting powder to make it last longer because my oily skin wants it that way.

Perhaps best of all, I don’t need foundation when I can use Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream – it hydrates, intensifies and brightens while covering pores and evening skin tone without feeling heavy. For days or nights when I want foundation, this BB cream is the perfect primer. Finally, a multi-tasker that I wouldn’t want to be without.
